From Thy Sacred Image

Our Lady's Procession which occurs yearly on the first Sunday of September is dedicated in honour of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The procession is about 2 to 3 hours long lined with the recitation of the rosary...novena prayers and hymss and also the general order of the mass. The might highlighting of the evening is perhaps undoubtly the crowning of our lady with a crown of jewels and gems guided by a procession of servers, flower bearers, priests and otehr ministries of the church.

Gopuram

Finally got to visit the Sri Mariamman Temple, which is Singapore's oldest Hindu temple. The gopuram rises above the main entrance along South Bridge Road. There is no shortage of interesting captures as the main tower(gopuram) is filled with six tiers of sculptures of Hindu deities, other figures. On either side of the gopuram are sculptures of Murugan and Krishna on the left. Was simply amazed by the detail of the sculptures which are all of made of plaster.Had a hard time choosing whether to post them in serpia(to create a most historical and realistic potrayal or in all its splendour and colour.
