Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple or Sri Perumal Temple is one of the oldest temples in
Singapore. It is located in Little India on Serangoon Road.Interesting fact
  • This large complex, dedicated to Vishnu, dates from 1855
  • The 20-metres-tall Gopuram is a relatively recent addition, built in 1966 at a cost of S$300,000.

I will be looking forward to taking more shots of this temple as its the starting point for devotees during the annual Thaipusam festival. This temple is the strating point of the festival ,after which devotees will make their way to the Chettiar Hindu Temple on Tank Road.

The 2nd temple at serangon that i visited probaly the one im more interested in as its much smaller hence able to get better detailed shots is Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple.
  • It was built 20th century the Tamil Hindus of Potong Pasir under the leadership of Rengasamy Murier, Murugaiyan, Samiappan and Vairappan Thevar built a small but as a Temple in Upper Serangoon Raod
  • It was then handed to B. Govindasamy Chettiar, the pioneer labour contractor to the Port of Singapore to manage the Temple.
